Hello Spring?
I picked up some snap clips last week thinking it was time that I had something other than bobby pins for my hair. Once I got started making these I couldn't quit. They're so fun and easy and make for a perfect -between projects- craft.
These are in the shop.
Here are two failed attempts at making a fat bunny. Now I've got 2 only slightly chubby bunnies. Cute, but not at all what I was going for. These are also in the shop.
This bunny talk has me thinking about Easter, which is just around the corner. I love Easter! It's the best time to find pastels in the stores. Well, sometimes it's the only time to find pastels. Look what I found at Target in the dollar bins, silicone cupcake baking cups 6 for $1, in the yummiest colors. At Michael's they are $9.99 for 8! I may have to go back and buy a few more. I'm thinking they could prove useful for all sorts of things other than baking. I've never actually baked in silicone cups I've used silicone muffin and loaf pans with no trouble. Any idea how these work? They seem like a pain to wash.
I am so very ready for Spring. More so than usual this time of year. This winter has been very wet and very gray and I'm quite done with it. The sun was shining most of the weekend and it was absolutely lovely. The first real sign that Spring is near. Hooray!

Very lovely blog! You made me feel homesick for Target, I used to work there once upon a time long long ago. I wouldn't know what to do with such fiddly silicone cups either, but they are pretty. Though not so much as your sweet creations.
I just found the same silicone cups last night! I was so excited I bought what they had left. I read somewhere the other day (I can't remember where though) about a problem with whatever is baked in the silicone cups tasting like soap. Have you ever heard of that, or had any trouble with it happening?
What a great blog. I love the "slightly chubby" bunnies - I know they didn't turn out as you had wanted but they're very cute.
By way, you'll love baking with the silicone cups - nothing will stick (like they can with paper) and you'll get to use them over and over again.
Those linen barrettes are super unique- I've never seen them made in anything other than felt and I have to admit your new take on them makes a more "grown-up" version that I really dig.
Also, the bunny in the feedsack dress is killing me. Dammit, that's nice.
I have some silicone baking cups because I make muffins each week and am constantly looking for way not to have to wash those damn muffing baking pans. I like these, although the ones I own are a bit small for me... Check amazon for a ton of different shapes, colors, etc. if you really like the Target ones.
even if the bunnies didn't turn out as plump as you'd like they are absolutely adorable!!!
I really love all the things you make....the colors....so sweet!
But that's not all, Guess what... Tag! Your it! (I didn't start this, just following the rules!)
Here’s the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Very cute hairclips!
We've recently started using the silicone baking cups - they work just fine, and I just stick them in the top rack of the dishwasher. Not as easy as just using paper muffin cups, but less wasteful and more eco-conscious I suppose!
Those snap clips look neat! I like how there's a little pear on one. Very cute.
